That label only is enough to make most veteran gamers rotate their eyes and think of Angry Bird clone games.
Indeed, I must admit that until lately, I did not think there is really much in the way of game titles for phones that could capture my attention for any serious amount of time, excluding the everywhere Scrabble clones.
Enter “Game Dev Story” by Kairosoft. jasabandarq
This game had me personally spending more than one evening on the chair, trying to operate a successful game development company and leaving my consoles and PC sitting untouched and unloved.
The premise of the game is, as implied by the name, to operate a game creator company.
You will get to choose a name for your company and you start off in small office, ready to commence hiring personnel members and make some games!
The game provides you a choice on the theme of the game and the genre. This can lead to several classic combinations, such as a historical golf game, pirate racing games or an anime puzzle game (though I guess cartoons really works with everything, eh? ).
Of course you can also do more sensible combinations like a robot action-game or a historical strategy game.
The combo is important because some combos review better with the gaming community than others.
Simultaneously you will be leveling up your expertise in making these games, which means that your company becomes better at making these kind of games.
Naturally you will also need to determine on what platform your pirate racing game is going to come away on.
The different systems all will vary costs associated with them, and simply uses develop a game for a console you are going to have to lay down some greens for an once license fee.
The moment development starts, you get to choose who gets to work on different parts of the overall game like the script and the graphics.
You can either use your in-house personnel, or you can splash of water some money on outsourcing the job (way to show confidence in your people, boss).

When your game is released, it will be judged by gurus (sadly there’s no option to bribe reviewers, and so i guess it’s not that realistic a game) and then it’s time to see those sales figures start stacking up.
You can also ensure that the process along by spending some of your money on promotional initiatives, which is often anything from radio advertisings to advertising on the moon, with regards to the scale your wallet (and the severeness of your megalomania).
